About New Town Saddles
OUR VISION
At New Town, we believe the smartest solutions are the simplest — efficiency, precision, and craft in every saddle we build.
OUR PURPOSE
To deliver efficiency, precision, and craft in every saddle — no shortcuts, no guesswork, just saddles that work.
VALUES
Efficiency
We design solutions that work across different horses and changing conditions without compromising accuracy. Our configurable platforms — trees, panels, and blocks — paired with the CP/SO system mean fewer compromises, faster fittings, and equipment that adapts over time.
Innovation
From the integration of the Horse Shape App for consistent digital profiling to the optional CP/SO system that extends the life and versatility of every saddle, innovation at New Town is practical, tested, and built into the process — not added as an afterthought.
Quality & Precision
Each saddle is crafted in France, England, or Argentina by experienced makers using premium Argentinian and French leathers, calibrated trees, and reinforced stitching. Every order is specified by a trained fitter, ensuring accuracy and repeatability rather than guesswork.
Wellbeing
Our designs prioritise balance and comfort for both horse and rider. Wide panels, tailored foams, and carefully engineered trees distribute pressure effectively, while rider customisation options ensure correct biomechanics and long-term comfort in the saddle.
OUR TEAM
Kaden Weaver Founder & Saddle Fitter
Kaden has been involved in saddle fitting since 2011, developing a reputation for his precise eye, technical knowledge, and genuine passion for horse and rider performance. After several years dedicated to fitting, he shifted focus in 2018 to working closely with young horses, gaining further insight into how conformation, biomechanics, and training shape saddle requirements.
This blend of hands-on riding experience and technical expertise inspired the foundation of New Town Saddles — a brand built on efficiency, precision, and uncompromising craft.

LEGACY FUND
At New Town, making saddles in Morocco, Argentina, and India isn’t just about where they’re built — it’s about the people, the places, and possibility. The Legacy Fund is our way of giving back to the communities whose craftsmanship and resources make our products what they are. We believe value isn’t only in what you ride — it’s in what you build together.
What It Does
We allocate a percentage of revenue from every saddle built in each location to support local charities or development projects in those regions.
Projects are chosen in consultation with local partners, focusing on:
- Education & training of saddle/bridle craftsmen
- Health & wellbeing for equestrian communities (e.g. horse welfare, farrier training, nutrition)
- Sustainable practices in leather sourcing and production
How It Works
Selection
Each year we select 2-3 organisations in Morocco, Argentina, and India to support. These are groups vetted for impact, transparency, and alignment with our values.
Funding
A fixed portion of revenue from Professional & Elite saddle lines funds these efforts.
Visible Impact
Updates and stories shared on our website, social channels and in annual reports to show what the funds achieve.
FAQS
What areas do you service?
We offer saddle fitting across Australia. Use our fitter-locator map to find the nearest trained New Town fitter. If you can’t find one in your area, contact us — we may still be able to arrange a fitting visit.
Where are your saddles made?
All of our saddles are made in specialist workshops located in Morocco, Argentina, and India. Each is built to measure by our trained team using premium leathers and calibrated trees.
Are Contour Pads made to measure?
Yes. We measure each pad to your horse using digital profiling, so material is only added where needed. This ensures fit, comfort, and performance.
How long does a custom saddle take to build and deliver?
Once your order and measurements are confirmed, build time is typically 8–12 weeks. We’ll keep you updated at key stages so you know exactly when to expect delivery.
How do I organise a saddle fitting and test saddles?
Book a fitting with one of our trained New Town fitters. They’ll bring sample saddles to you so your horse can try, and you can ride. We assess fit, you compare models, and choose the one that best meets your horse and your riding needs.
What options are there for rider customisation?
Depending on the model you choose, you can customise seat size, seat depth, twist width, flap shape, flap length, and tree options. These adjustments let us tailor each saddle to your body and your riding style.
What materials do you use and why?
We select materials based on performance and durability: premium leathers from France and Argentina; open-cell European leather for pads; foam, wool, or hybrid panels. Each is chosen to provide strength, flexibility, and comfort over time.
Can one saddle be used for multiple horses?
Yes. Our CP/SO system (Contour Pad + Saddle Orthotic) lets a saddle adapt to multiple horses. Combined with interchangeable panel options, one well-built saddle can suit more than one horse with fewer modifications.
What happens during delivery and final adjustment?
When your saddle arrives, our fitter will conduct an on-site final fitting check. We adjust panel fit, balance, and trim as needed to ensure both horse and rider are comfortable and performing well.
What is your policy for returns or adjustments if the saddle doesn’t fit initially?
If the saddle or pad isn’t fitting as expected, contact us immediately. We offer follow-up adjustments by our fitters and support you through modifications. Returns may be accepted under specific conditions — get in touch so we can walk you through the process.
