Saddlethotic System

Custom insert for precision fit and performance — exclusively for the CP shell. Must be fitted by a trained Newtown Fitter. Compatible with all well-made equestrian saddles.

What it is

The Saddlethotic System is a purpose-built insert that works exclusively inside the Contour Pad (CP) shell to deliver a precision, fitter-led saddle fit. Each unit is custom selected and configured by a trained Newtown Saddlethotic or Newtown Saddle Fitter using medical-grade foams, shapes, and layering. It is designed to make one saddle fit multiple horses — or multiple saddles fit fewer horses — while protecting the horse’s comfort and enhancing the rider’s balance.

This system sets a new standard in saddle fitting, allowing truly horse-specific decisions that improve an already well-fitting saddle. It gives riders the best opportunity to stay in the saddles they love, not just the ones that happen to fit their horse at a single point in time.

Purpose-Built for the CP
  • Works exclusively inside the CP shell.
  • Fills the space between saddle and horse’s back with both horse and rider needs in mind.
  • Uses fitter expertise and engineered materials to reduce shape mismatches that cause discomfort or imbalance.

Designed for Integration
  • Every Newtown saddle is designed from the tree outward to accept the Saddlethotic System.
  • Helps maintain a practical horse-to-saddle ratio, freeing up saddles that are no longer required.

Clinical-Grade Construction
  • Manufactured in a human orthotic clinic using medical-grade materials and processes.
  • Materials are not available to the public.
  • Must be measured and fitted by a trained Newtown Fitter for best results.

Foam Technology — Six Functions

  • Maintains consistent panel contact.

Benefits
  • Protects the spine, shoulders, and sensitive nerve structures.
